.magnets on a fridge is called that because this short piece of poetry was created by using magnets on a fridge

Freshmen year at college, my first dorm party and for some reason Jochen T. and I found ourselves sitting in front of the fridge (hey, we were closest to the booze that way! ) and were discussing words that allegedly are romantic, but don't sound poetic (in our opinion) at all. That somehow led to attempting to create poetry ourselves and this was our favourite 'achievement' of the night

I am the kind of person that usually always tries to read/watch/listen to books/poetry/movies/series/music in their original language, for I feel you can understand the author the best in his native language. You can lose a lot of the meaning when you translate it simply by using the wrong word. Especially when the author is dead already, how is the translator to know which meaning the composer had meant when he had chosen that word?
But since English is the common language around DA, I tried to 'translate' it as close to our meaning as possible.

So. Two drunks -one heart-broken, one freshly in love- one fridge and a hell of a lot of magnets = .magnets on a fridge
